I did some research, I think you can go with either of these solutions.
1.Opendns with default firmware or custom firmware
1A You will use opendns as your dns. Will block port 53 for all other pc on your network except the one which you will be using as admin.
1B You will follow the instructions http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php...rcept_DNS_Port
Again blocking the port.
2. DansGuardian with custom firmware.
2A Use DansGuardian with ddwrt
2B Use DansGuardian with openwrt
With custom firmware you can use both at the same time.
Both support a wide range of routers. Asus N-16 is decent router for running these. It has also got gigabit LAN. Also block the ports such as 9665.
