Default NAS - RT-N66U, transfer speeds [wired vs. wireless]

HI,

I have s simple (and possible stupid) question.

I am copying files from my laptop to a NAS.

The NAS is a D-LINK 343 with gigabit ethernet card.
Latop is a Dell Studio with network adapter "Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC".

Using wired (Laptop, RT-N66U, NAS) I am getting the following speeds:
- Write: 182Mbps
- Read: 395Mbps

When connecting the laptop using the wireless adapter (Intel® Ultimate N WiFi Link 5300 AGN, 450Mbs, 3 antennas), the same operations slows considerably:
- Write: 97Mbps
- Read: 73Mbps

The windows shows the wireless connection established at 450Mbps.
Router is configured for the 5GHz band, 40Mhz, 44 control channel.

Is it unrealistic from my side to expect at least the same (182Mbps) when using wireless also?

182Mbps is ~22MB/s which seems just a fraction from the total of 450Mbps that both the Asus RT-N66U and Intel Wifi adapter advertise.

If I'm talking nonesens, I appologise. Please take into account that I have just basic basic knowledge about wireless networks.

Thank you.
