Owners of the Billion-manufactured BiPAC 5200G and 5200N routers may need to update their firmware, as some Windows XP SP3 systems generate a crash and reboot loop. The problem stems from the routers' inability to handle Option 43 (Vendor-Specific Information) of the DHCP specification, which SP3 now uses. Since the problem is induced by DHCP, switching XP SP3 systems to static IP addressing should break the crash/reboot cycle. Billion has released updated firmware to resolve this issue.

I hadn't heard of Billion--Wikipedia says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billion_%28company%29) they serve the Australian market. Although the problem appears to be confined to only one vendor, the impending release of XP SP3 on Tuesday may uncover similar incompatibilities.
