I'm seeing some conflicting information. Some sources suggest that Linky was suggesting $149 but Amazon and Newegg are charging $199 because its new and presumably still in limited suplly. Other sources suggest that $199 is the price Linky had in mind.

And the reason it matters, of course, is whether one can expect $149 as a price if one has the patience to wait a few weeks for supply to saturate the channel.

And at $149 I just might dump this Netgear WNDR3300 of mine to the "giant drawer of backup equipment I hope to never use again but at least I have it if something else breaks".

Ah, too bad. They must have had a last minute change or something because several first day news sites were quoting $149.

MSRP is $199.

Amazon $149 deal is gone.

Looks like availability is still scarce, which will keep prices up.
