Hi.

This is my first post and I have one cuestion.

At this moment I have 4 computers and a Dlink DIR-665, but two of them has a 1 Gbit network card and the another two has a 100 Mbit card.

What is the best way to interconnet the four computers? All of them to the DIR-655 or I should use a 1 Gbit switch, for the fastest computers, conected to the DIR-655 and "slowests" connected directly to the DIR-655.

Thanks in advance

Connect all your computers to the 655's switch. The two gigabit machines will connect at gigabit speed, the two 100 Mbps machines at that speed. The gigabit machines will only slow to 100 Mbps when communicating with those machines.

DLINK Beta Forum said the ports on the switch have no uplink so you can use more than 1 switch on the back of it. I say as your network grows

DIR-655
------GIG SWITCH
-------------------GIG SWITCH
---------------------------------100MBPS SWITCH
